Hello, I'm Stas — a late self-emerging artist exploring time, space, and the state of being in-between. My practice explores the tension between presence and absence, control and surrender, permanence and impermanence.
Often working through slow processes or mediated interactions, I aim to create conditions where material and time become active collaborators. In many of my works, I remove myself from the space of creation, allowing the passage of time or natural forces to shape the outcome. This absence is not a withdrawal, but a way to investigate the invisible structures that govern how we perceive change, decay, and continuity.
My background outside of traditional art institutions informs a practice that is intuitive, process-driven, and resistant to fixed definitions. I’m interested in the poetic space between things — between action and stillness, visibility and disappearance, the physical and the ephemeral.
